I'm Lisa

You don't need to have it all figured out.

Leaders come to me when life shifts: career pivots, promotions, redundancy, retirement, or personal upheaval. Together, we chart a course through the uncertainty toward a version of you that feels more aligned, more purposeful, more you.

Nice to meet you ...

I guide leaders through the messy middle of transition. The career pivots, promotions, redundancy, retirement, and the life changes that leave you wondering “what now?”

I’m not a coach who pushes a purely positive approach. Life isn’t always neat, and transition certainly isn’t linear. I’ve had my own challenges to navigate, and I’m mindful of the struggles life can bring when I work with my clients.

My approach is grounded in research, shaped by lived experience, and focused on helping you figure out who you really are, what truly matters, and how to move forward with clarity and purpose.

My Story

When my husband John was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in his 40s, everything changed. He was thriving in his career. We were living normal family life with three teenage children. Then suddenly, we weren’t.

I learned something profound during that time: you can’t control what happens, but you can control how you respond. I chose to keep working because it mattered to me. To serve my clients, to maintain purpose, and to prepare for a future where I’d be the sole breadwinner.

John died in 2020. It was devastating. But John would have wanted me to get on with life, and that’s also something I expect of myself.

That experience of navigating profound loss while still showing up, leading, and making difficult decisions, fundamentally shaped how I coach. I understand what it means to carry on when you don’t have all the answers. To make space for grief while still moving forward. To redefine success when life doesn’t go according to plan.

3 Things About Me

I have a portfolio career as a coach, consultant, entrepreneur, and speaker. But here are three things that define how I show up in the world.

Accidental Expat Turned Serial Relocator

My career path has never been linear. That’s down to the nature of my late husband’s job, which meant upping sticks and relocating around the world. I’ve worked in the private, public, and non-profit sectors across five countries including the UK, Italy, Portugal, Gibraltar and Ireland.

Those relocations taught me firsthand what transition looks like: the disorientation, the identity loss, the challenge of rebuilding networks and redefining yourself in a new context. It’s why I’m so passionate about helping leaders navigate change. I’ve lived it.

Relationships Are Everything

Between 2015 and 2019, I ran the coaching company Asentiv, helping business leaders mobilize their strategic networks and grow their business. I became a specialist in building collaborative partnerships and have led multi-agency initiatives across regeneration, employment, education, mental health, and child poverty.

I don’t just talk about the power of networks. I’ve spent two decades building them, activating them, and helping others understand that you can’t navigate transition alone. Your relationships are your greatest resource.

Women in Leadership Advocate

I’m co-founder of Fun, Food and Philanthropy, a giving circle for girls and women in Northern Ireland. I co-founded Impact Players with Sinead Sharkey-Steenson, a conference for ambitious women in business and sport. Together we run Reboot, a company committed to women in leadership. We have delivered transformative leadership programmes in corporates, not-for-profits and sports governing bodies.

I believe women deserve to lead authentically, without sacrificing what truly matters. And I’m committed to creating pathways that make that possible.

Behind the Scenes

Get to know me

I hold an MA (Hons) in German and European History, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management, and an MBA from the Open University. I’m a Professional Fellow of the Institute of Coaching (Harvard Affiliate), an International Coach Federation accredited coach, and a Positive Intelligence coach. I’m also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

But here’s what really matters: I’ve helped thousands of individuals, entrepreneurs, and business leaders become better leaders, live their purpose, expand their vision, and develop better relationships. All without sacrificing the things that truly matter.

I’m also an international motivational speaker, delivering keynotes, webinars, and workshops on relationships, networks, resilience, legacy, and leadership.

My work is grounded in research-backed methodologies, including Positive Intelligence. But it’s also informed by real life. The kind of life where things don’t go according to plan, where you have to make hard choices, and where showing up with courage and self-compassion is the only way through.

"Everything is magic if you know where to look"

My Passion

Bringing your vision to life

Following the loss of my husband to pancreatic cancer, I became a Board Member of NIPANC (NI Pancreatic Cancer), an organization raising awareness, providing support, and funding local research. I’m a passionate advocate for cancer support services and use my speaking skills and lived experience to ensure no family has to face a cancer journey alone.

Why does this matter for my coaching work? Because I know what it’s like to face the unimaginable and still have to show up. To lead when you’re grieving. To make decisions when you’re exhausted. To hold space for others while you’re barely holding yourself together.
